Determination

Hayli has a lot of determination. When Hayli has her mind set on something, she is going to do it! Hayli really wanted to get into her car seat yesterday in order to turn the light on in the van. We thought it was pretty cool that she figured out how to get the job done!

Beth came to New Mexico for a couple of days on a road trip with her mom, niece and one of her niece's friends. It was a lot of fun seeing them. Hayli really enjoyed going to the hotel's swimming pool and got some laps in! =0)

What a talker...

We really have no idea what Hayli is going on about, but we think that it's awfully cute!!!

Last Gymnastics Class for the Term

Hayli had her last gymnastic class for the term. She really enjoys being able to just play hard...

The instructor put out the barrel that the kiddos like so much. Hayli is still trying to figure out how to get out without injury! =0)

Last Swim Day for the Term

Today was Hayli's last swim day for the term. Hayli is just a little fishy. She loves the water so much. Hayli is looking forward to when it is warm enough that Oma and Opa warm up the pool, and she can go swimming every day!!!Anna and Liam are in Hayli's swim class too, but Anna didn't make it to the last swim class. Hayli loves playing with her little friends in the water.Practicing the back float...The instructor plays with the babies. One of Hayli's favorite games is "Little Fishy", where the instructor encourages underwater swimming.The babies also enjoy riding Mr. Duckie (he is really a frog with an identity crisis).This term, Hayli learned a lot of things. One of the new developments is jumping into the water on her own! Hayli is so independent, and has no fear to jump in all by herself... Okay Hayli, jump in on the count of three... one, two... or on the count of two whichever... LOLAs of yesterday, Hayli also conquered the art of blowing bubbles in the water! I was so shocked and surprised that she did it.


For the final thing, the instructor had the babies go down the slide. What fun!!!

A Mouthful

Hayli's two top teeth have been on their way down since 27 January, but they progressed very slowly. So slowly that the third tooth ended up being one on the bottom! Conrad and I endured many nights of middle of the night wake-ups and the crankiness. "Come on down top teeth - pretty please!" was my plea for many weeks. After my birthday party mishap, Hayli has not let me look at her upper teeth. Today, Hayli was laughing so hard that it didn't seem to bother her that I wanted a little looksie! Now Hayli has a mouthful of teeth!!! This was a complete surprise. Four teeth on the top have cut through and an 8th tooth on the bottom is working its way up. No wonder we aren't sleeping well. =0)

Piggy Bank

We have an account set up for Hayli's funds. Anytime we get some money we put some of it in her account. We plan on explaining to Hayli the importance of saving. This weekend we went to Carter's and Conrad bought Hayli a piggy bank. Hayli is far too young to understand the concept of filling up the piggy and bringing it to the bank for a deposit, but she sure does love putting money in it... such a smart cookie!!!

Plates, Bowls, and Cups

Hayli got to visit with her best friend Anna today. They just love to play with Anna's plastic plates, bowls, and cups! They are both so cute. It is nice to see them play so well together. I know Hayli was happy to see her friend again...
