Hayli's 1st Soccer Practice

Today was Hayli's first soccer practice.  Daddy and I thought it would be a good experience for Hayli to participate in a group sport.  She is very enthusiastic.... "Thumbs up Mommy!  I got the ball into the goal!"

Road Trip - Day 12

Today was our final full day in St. Louis. We started the day swimming.  Hana tried to blow bubbles with Grandpa while Hayli enjoyed diving for a water rocket!
We then went to the transportation museum.
We really enjoyed the museum, but there was an extra surprise today! The museum was going to reveal a new postage stamp.  It was awesome that Hayli was able to help the Post Master reveal the stamp!  Go Hayli!!!
To finish the day, we went to Tony's house for dinner.  Hayli and Hana really enjoyed feeding the ducks...
The entire time that we were visiting with Grandpa, Hana would ask Hayli to get her some "nummy nummy"s.  Hayli knew how to work Grandpa's M&M machine, so she would get some for Hana.  It was so cute!!!

Road Trip - Day 11

Today we went to the turtle farm first thing this morning!  It was a lot of fun... I was surprised at how warm it was so early...
After the turtle farm, we went to the butterfly house in St. Louis.  The girls had so much fun here; it is going to be really hard to leave!

Road Trip - Day 10

Today we went to the St. Louis Zoo.  We had a lot of fun!  Hayli enjoyed the sea lion show.  Hana missed most of it because she was sleeping, but when she woke up -- she was thrilled to see the large animals!

We just had to see the elephants since we missed them last year... Hayli named the elephant Peanut!  How cute!
The zoo added sharks to the sting ray pond.  We were allowed to feed the sting rays.  Yes, Hayli fed sting rays...  Mommy, however, screamed like a little girl when the sting rays tried to eat out of my hand.  It feels like a vacuum suction on your hand...  EEWWWW...
but Mommy did pet the sting rays and sharks!!!  The young sting rays and small sharks were smooth, while the older sting rays and the large shark felt like sand paper.
Hayli and Hana enjoyed the country music and danced to it while waiting for the train!
The last thing we did at the zoo was the Merry Go Round.  Hayli was so excited, and we rode it until the very last train back to the stroller!

Road Trip - Day 9

Today we went to grandpa's aunt's house. The Kevers always have a house full!  Today Cousin Mary cut Hayli's bangs and put feathers in the girls' hair.  What a nice surprise!

Road Trip - Day 8

Today we started the day at Lowe's for their Build and Grow program.  Today Hayli made binoculars.  She had a great time making the project.  Hana missed out since she was sleeping in the van!  Poor baby!
After going to Lowe's we started our drive to Jefferson City to visit some family (I haven't seen most of them for more than 5 years!)  We stayed with Uncle William and Aunt Sharon.  We experienced Hill Billy Golf for the first time.  Hayli was a natural... not quite sure if that is a good thing or not!  LOL
Grandpa got fireworks for Hayli to enjoy... only the cops did not enjoy them as much as she did!  I can chuckle because the cops did not figure out where the fireworks were coming from!!!

Road Trip - Day 7

Today we ventured to Six Flags.  Yes, we are crazy!  But Hayli loved it.
She went on a lot of the rides I didn't think she would go on.  Hayli went on the log ride with Daddy and Grandpa!  I think her face here says it all!

Hayli joined Daddy and me on the raft ride.
There was a small kid section where Hayli insisted on riding all the rides that make us "big" kids sick!!! (Can you find Hana on the balloon ride?)

We didn't get to spend a lot of time at the water park.  They closed at 6pm when we thought they closed at 9pm.
After Six Flags, we had some strawberry cheesecake icecream cake for Daddy's birthday...  For dinner, we ate at Red Lobster to celebrate Daddy's birthday!
Hana really says "Cheese" well now... so cute!
I didn't think the girls would touch the lobsters... but I was WRONG!

Road Trip - Day 6

Today we went to the Botanical Gardens in St. Louis.  We really went to the children's garden, but we had to pay admission to the regular garden to do that!
Hayli loved that there was a slide!  Hana convinced Daddy to go down the slide with her... it was a tight fit with all three of them!
Grandpa and his grandbabies!
It was so hot, that the relief from the water part of the children's park was much needed!
Hayli was excited to see the big playground.  There were a lot of ladders and ropes! (You have to tilt your head for the videos -- sorry!)
Working the boats was a favorite of Hayli's... she made her daddy proud!
After the gardens, we went on a boat ride.  If we thought it was hot at the gardens, that was nothing compared to how hot it would be in the boat!!! Oh, and we had to peddle in order to go anywhere in the boat!  We rented the boat for an hour but I think we were out on the water for 15 minutes before we were ready to go back to the shore!  LOL!!!
After we cooled off a bit in the van, we went to the 5 Guys hamburger place (Daddy had never been).  Hayli and Hana's favorite part? The ducks!
Hana decided to try to pet a baby duck! She ran and squealed and scared all the baby ducks... mama duck was NOT happy about that at all!  Poor Hana... she just wanted to pet a baby ducky!
The kids were ready for a nap when we got back to Grandpa's place.  After the short nap, we took Hayli to the 'carnival' (aka Chuck E Cheese).  She had a blast with Grandpa!

Road Trip - Day 5

Today we went to the Arch in St. Louis.  Daddy had never seen the arch and we decided to see it AND ride it with Daddy!  I think everyone had a good time!

After the arch, we went to the Magic House in St. Louis.  It was a lot of fun.  Too bad the Y club was there... so there were a lot of kids with minimal supervision.  Hayli and Hana fended for themselves for the most part!
One part of the Magic House was themed "Alice in Wonderland".  The girls surprised me and took pictures with some of the characters.  I guess the girls were in good moods!
The Magic House had a really neat computer that allowed the kids to paint without any paint.  It was a touch screen that had red, yellow, and blue paint.
The best part is that after the kids were done with it -- you can email the art to yourself.  This is Hayli's creation!
Another section of the Magic House demonstrated the three branches of the United States government.  Hayli and Hana took turns being president!
This bubble tube was supposed to encompass Hayli but there wasn't enough soap water to do it... sad!
With this tool, Hayli made REALLY BIG bubbles!
Hayli was able to check on babies (really baby dolls) and be their doctor... Hayli kept telling me, "My name is not Hayli... it is Dr. Hayli!"  LOL!!!
Hana's favorite part was the water section.  I knew that was going to be a hit!
Right before we left, we stopped at the art department.  Hayli did an art project and left hardly ANY white space on the paper!
