First, Hana was weighed and measure. She weighed 11 pounds 10 ounces (5.25 kg) and measured 23 inches (58.4 cm) long. She is now in the 75th percentile (up from the 50th percentile at her 1 month doctor appointment) for both her height and weight.
Hana's doctor, Dr. Settles, examined Hana, and was happy with Hana's progression both physically and mentally. Dr. Settles mentioned that Hana does have a belly button (or umbilical cord) hernia. I just thought it was an outie belly button. If it doesn't fix itself, surgery is required. We will just have to watch it, and hopefully it will fix itself. I took some pictures of Hana's hernia after we got home just to show what it looks like now.
The nurse came in and gave Hana her one oral immunization and her three "cocktail" shots. Hana cried, and turned beat red, until the nurse was done administering the shots. After a minute of the nurse holding her, Hana settled down and relaxed.
Hana's legs are still sore and we are giving her pain reliever. Hana is a tough cookie, and survived her first shot appointment with flying colors!

Then Hayli was excited to practice on some instruments... Will she play like Grandpa, Daddy, or Tante? We can always hope!

Since this term's Kindermusik's class, Hayli knows that trains go "choo choo".
I thought a lot about my Grandpa Shaefer while we were at the train depot. Grandpa Shaefer was a great lover of trains, and even had his own model trains set up in his house! Missed you today Grandpa!
and "Two In A Boat"...
Hayli really is a fish when she is in water. She is really growing with her Froggies swim classes.
Hayli likes to "dive" for the rings. She especially likes it when the teachers let her choose which ring she does next.
Hayli is learning to dive off the edge of the pool, swim back to the side of the pool, pull up, and take a breathe. She is doing amazingly well if you ask me!
Hayli, on-the-other-hand, loves bath time! Hayli will sit in the tub for an hour if you let her!
I don't know what it was about today, but Hayli decided she needed to go down the slide with only one shoe on. Sometimes I would pay a lot of money to know what goes on inside that head of hers!
