It has been a long time (for me) since my last posting. Hayli has been really sick. The doctor put her one type of antibiotics that worked until the medicine was gone. Then, Hayli was back to her old symptoms. Now, Hayli is on a different type of antibiotics, and it seems to be doing better. Hayli sleeps a lot more than usual, but it is good to know that she is resting to help her body heal. Hayli being sick makes it harder to go anywhere, because I do not think anything is worth waking the poor baby up just go go somewhere. I hope Hayli feels 100% better soon!
When Oma and Opa go to work, Hayli and I go to let their puppy, Tinkerbell, out during lunch-time. Hayli enjoys visiting the puppy and we have a routine there now. Since we spend so much time at Oma's and Opa's house, I got Hayli a used jumperoo for Oma's and Opa's house. At first, I adjusted the jumperoo too low for Hayli. As you can see here, Hayli is having a hard time with the seat being way too low for her!
After almost 30 minutes of fighting with the jumperoo, the jumperoo is adjusted correctly for Hayli's height. What a workout that was! It seems that Hayli is most appreciative. So, that makes it worth it! =0)
Hayli breezes by her milestones like it is nothing. I really wish my family were here to see it all. This is one of the reasons why I post so much. I am sure it can get quite annoying, but it is so nice being able to share with my family across the pond.
Dada saw this toy at Babies R Us and said that Hayli would love it. I was not quite sure, but as you can tell - Hayli does love it!!! She is even practicing her running skills now! She doesn't even notice that she ends up with some resistance when her binky gets stuck in her front wheel! Lady Bug even makes a guest appearance.
One of Hayli's cute traits is her ability to become distracted at any moment. Here you will see sweet Hayli running around her table, only to stop when she sees Kala, and only long enough to pull Kala's tail and move on! I think she gets this ease of distraction from dada. =0)
I always thought that Hayli would skip crawling. It looks like I might be correct. Here she is walking (with a little assistance from mama) on our bed getting to her toys. I don't think it will be long before she can do this on her own.
Hayli and I talked to Moeke (my mom) and Auntie Elisabeth (my sister) on the phone. Hayli was so excited that the conversation really wore her out!
I opened the curtains to take the above video and picture. I guess that it was a little too bright for Hayli... LOL! She covered her eyes and went straight back to sleep. Either that or Hayli was tired of mama taking videos and pictures. I chose to believe the first theory. I closed the curtains back up and she removed the blanket from her face. How precious!
Hayli is really sick. She is really congested, and is not sleeping well. Hayli never did like her swing, but now it seems to bring her a little comfort. Poor little baby!
Just so you can compare, here is Hayli only 3 weeks old in her swing. It is unbelievable how much she has grown!
