To Take The Cheerio or Not To Take The Cheerio

Oma tried to introduce Hayli to Cheerios. Oma had been waiting for months to give Hayli these circles of goodness. Too bad that Hayli really didn't like them! LOL

Hayli discovered a whole new world when she started walking forward in her walker today...

Sick, Sick, Sick

Hayli fell on her head yesterday. She was sleeping on the
couch and the next thing I knew... BOOM! After being comforted for a little bit, Hayli seemed completely fine. Eyes? Look good. Lost consciousness? Nope. Behavior? Remained the same as before the fall. I made sure to read some research on babies who fall. Everything looked good, but the advice was to keep an eye on Hayli throughout the night. Unfortunately, Hayli didn't sleep at all. Here Hayli is getting pain medicine at 3 in the morning! Does she look sleepy??? =/

Finally around 4 Hayli fell asleep!

This morning, I took Hayli to the doctor, who advised that I get Hayli's skull scanned and x-rayed in case of a skull fracture... that is enough to make a mother's heart drop! Hayli did not like that process at all. Four x-rays were taken by Las Cruces Imaging, and the waiting for the result began. The results came back negative for a fracture (thank goodness) and Hayli is doing well. Needless-to-say, I will not be leaving her to sleep on the couch EVER again!

WooHoo - We're Home!

We got home yesterday, so a good night's sleep in our own beds was much needed. We commenced our week as usual, and checked the mail on our way home from letting Tinkerbell out. There we found presents from Aunt Elisabeth... THANKS AUNT ELISABETH!!! Hayli didn't let go of her present - not even to let me take the wrapping off!

Hayli enjoyed some time playing with Lilo (aka Cow-Cow)... it had been a while! =0)

After Conrad came home tonight, we went to Hayli's Sign and Sing course. Here we are on our way. I love these leggings! Hayli looks like an extra off of "Flash Dance"... look at Hayli's flexibility... WOW!

Here Hayli is wondering why this ball doesn't shake and jiggle... poor baby...

Going Home

Day 5 - On Our Way Home

We began our trip back to Las Cruces last night after the movie. We drove about 4 hours to Blythe, CA, where we stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. Hayli was happy after a night's rest.

Hayli loves the Little Einsteins show. Here you can see her waving to her friends: Annie, Quincy, Leo, and June.

We got on the road and stopped at an A&W for lunch (I didn't get an A&W drink - I don't care for root beer).

Oma and Hayli took advantage of the down time on the way home, and slept a lot of time.

It was a LONG drive back to Las Cruces.

We got home around 8pm. We were all happy to be home. I think Hayli may have been the happiest to see the bedroom!

Going to LA - Day 4 - Movie Premiere

Day 4 - """"""The Kings of Appletown
"

After dinner, we all went to the movie premiere of "The Kings of Appletown" at the FOX studios. This is us entering into the FOX studios through the main gate - after we were checked by security.

We made our way into the Zanuck theater that was going to show the movie.

Real-life Oscars surrounded the theater.

The theater ended up being pretty full. Everyone we came with sat up front (except Conrad, Hayli, and myself). I needed to make sure that there was a quick exit route for me in case Hayli got fussy.

I was really worried because Hayli was having a fit before the movie. I was so thankful that I brought Hayli's blankie inside with me because as soon as I wrapped her up, she fell right to sleep! Hayli slept right past the sudden noises in the movie all the way to the end of the movie. Afterwards though, Hayli rubbed elbows with the cast and crew of the Hollywood movie!

That's me and Hayli's legs.

Mama, Hayli, and dada in front of the 20th Century Fox sign after the movie!

Oma and Hayli with Victoria Justice (she played Betsy in the movie)

Mama and Hayli with R.D. Call (he played Coach Joe in the movie)

Oma and Hayli with Tom Kelly (he was the executive producer of the movie)

Joe Reilly (he was the director of the movie) with Oma and Hayli

Robert Moresco (producer of the movie) with Oma and Hayli

Oma and Hayli with Dalton O'Dell (he played Jimmy Johnson in the movie)

The End...

Going to LA - Day 4

Day 4 - Saturday, 4 October 2008

We woke up, and Hayli was hungry - when isn't she??? "Look what I can do by myself when I am hungry enough."

"I am up and ready for action!"

Hayli all set up for breakfast at Denny's. Yes, I know... this kid eats A LOT! =0) I love this hook on chair for Hayli. She feels like she is eating with us, and makes a lot less fuss this way!

Before going to the movie premiere, we went on a Hollywood sign hunt... down Hollywood Blvd.

After many a miles looking, we finally get that photo!!!

We went to dinner with Bob (Oma's brother) and his family at the marina. We ate at El Torito again, but that deep fried ice cream alone was worth it!!! I was one happy mama!
