Trampoline Fun

Hayli and Hana both love going to open gym at Gym Magic.  They enjoy the trampoline a lot...  It is fun watching them do their "thing".  =0)

Tumbling

Today is gymnastics day for the girls. Hayli is really catching on... I think it is great that she is beginning to understand what Coach Natasha wants from her and how to make her body do it. The forward roll with a hop was the new thing tonight!!!

Dinosaur Day @ Gymnastics

Today Hayli and Hana went to gymnastics. It is so nice that they can both do an activity at the same time! Anyway, the coaches had dinosaurs out to help the kids do the obstacles. Hayli and Hana had a great time with it!

Hayli Graduated to the Sea Turtle Class!!!

Hayli is now a Sea Turtle! I can't believe it! She graduated AGAIN!

Brandon's BDay Party

Today was one of Hayli's classmate's, Brandon's, 3rd birthday. Hayli had a lot of fun at his birthday. Brandon had his birthday at Gym Magic, and Hayli took this opportunity to swing on the rope in the foam pit. She stayed on longer than the boys that were there!

Open Gym Fun

Hana is one of the regulars at open gym on Tuesdays. Hayli rarely gets to go because she is in preschool. Today was a treat since school was cancelled for parent-teacher conferences. Hayli showed interest in tumbling today for the first time EVER. Maybe it was that trip to the Cruces Gymnastics Academy???

Open Gym (again?)

Today we went to open gym (for the second time this week - I know we are addicted). Actually Hayli had a lot of energy to burn off - so we went... If all else fails, blame the baby! ;-)

Hayli loves the balls of different shapes and sizes. We used those to the best of our advantage and motivated Hayli to walk further and further. Conrad and I no longer have a 'baby' - we now have a walker. It is both a proud and sad day for mommy!

Moeke wanted Hayli to walk across the trampoline to mama, but Hayli decided she was perfectly happy just bouncing on it.

We had a very good time at open gym today!!!

Open Gym

Today Moeke and Mama took Hayli to Open Gym at Gym Magic. Hayli really likes to play with all the different balls and trampolines!Hayli leading Moeke around the gym... "Come on Moeke... I have something to show you!"Hayli enjoys all the balls of different sizes and shapes.

Hayli seemed particularly drawn to the orange one with spikes! Hayli followed a little girl who had it until the little girl FINALLY lost interest in the ball and gave it to Hayli.

Last Swim for Term 1

Today was Hayli's last swim class for term 1. Hayli really does enjoy the swim classes and the water activities. Conrad did a really good job documenting the swim class. GO DADA!!!

Hayli really likes to go under the water. She is so funny - she keeps her eyes and mouth open when she goes under. How silly!

Andrea, our instructor, does a water activity called "Motorboat". Hayli likes the song but hates going into the 'motorboat' and normally can't wait to get out of it!!!

The class does a lot of 'station' work. The babies go from station to station and do various activities. Unfortunately, Hayli is so young that she can really only do two of the five provided stations... so we improvise!

Andrea also does "Little Fishy" with the individual babies. It is really interesting to see how Andrea has gained Hayli's trust. The first time, Hayli didn't want anything to do with this! Hard to believe it now though.

Another water activity that we squeeze into our 30 minute water session is riding on Mr. Duckie. All the little ones get onto the floating Mr. Duckie (though our Mr. Duckie is really a turtle...) and then at the end of the song the babies splash into the water. Hayli loves this fun little game.

Then comes Hayli's least favorite part... the goodbye song. Poor baby has to get out of the water after this.

Our Little Fishy

Today was Hayli's 2nd class in her second term of swimming. She sure does love the water. She wasn't feeling well, so she wasn't as animated as usual. Hayli still did well though.

Hayli is always so happy when Andrea, our swim instructor, releases the colorful balls into the water. (If anyone knows where we can buy such balls - please let me know.)

There is one definite advantage to going to swim class. It really makes Hayli tired!!!

Hayli Swimming with Mama

Hayli started swimming at our local Gym Magic yesterday. Hayli LOVES swimming. I don't get any protests from Hayli when we go in, but she is really upset to leave every time! We enjoy our time in the pool.
