Day 1 - Wednesday, 1 October 2008
Oma and Opa invested in a movie, and were invited to the movie's premiere in Los Angeles. They invited dada, mama, and Hayli out with them. I spent most of the day doing laundry and getting everything together for the trip. The dogs are at our house getting taken care of by Donna. Donna will take the dogs out three times a day for about 45 minutes. So, after everyone was home and the van was loaded up, we were on our way to Los Angeles! WOOHOO!
Here is the map of our trip! The map isn't very good without the outline of how we get there, but we started in Las Cruces (point A on the bottom right of the map) and we should end up in Los Angeles (point B on the left side of the map). **You can click on the map to make it bigger.**
We put Hayli's new car seat in today before we left.
First stop... Deming, NM for a late dinner at Denny's. Hayli fell asleep shortly after we left Denny's. She didn't wake up until we got to Tucson, AZ. We finally made it to Tucson around midnight, and made our way to LaQuinta. You can see on the map where we made a little dent in our total trip! (You can click on the map to make it bigger.)
Everyone was so exhausted, we just all collapsed on the beds for the rest of the night!
